Super motivated seller. The original owner had the jeep 30 years and……. Roof was removed only once. That was within the last few weeks, for curiosity. Fully loaded laredo model with….. Vehicle history:this was a 1-owner jeep, bought new by a fairly well off owner of a larger hvac company. He had used the jeep only sparingly. Specifically, it was used exclusively for his 2-time/year northern fishing trip. The jeep was never winter driven, dealership maintained, and always stored indoors. In addition to never removing the top, the backseat was never sat in. The passenger seat was only used by his companion dog. When new, all the decals were removed at the dealership, on request of the original owner; that is, with the exception of the laredo decals on the hood. Short story long…i looked a very long time for the best cj-7 i could find. At times, i thought i’d never find anything, and maybe i was just being unreasonably picky. Because i wanted original (nothing “restored”), my search literally took years. Sidenote: restored jeeps are everywhere and, to me at least, represent nothing special. I believe the true collectibility of a restored vehicle vs. Genuine original is a comparison of polarities. Fast forward. (past a lot of disappointing trips, and aggravation). I found the jeep i dreamt of. Unfortunately when i found it, it wasn’t for sale. The culmination of my search for the ultimate original jeep seemed to result in a stalemate. I offered more and more $. When i'd given up, it seemed that no money would buy it. The price, well… it was a real doozie but, like i said… i wanted it, and i justified it. It was a premium dollar but, it is a really premium little rig. Also, it meant the end of a long search. Simple - - in the end, and after all…. I don’t like it. Like i said, epic ridiculousness. I realize and, yes… i know how stupid that sounds. I don't need comments or more embarrassment for sharing the truth though. I just don’t think jeep ownership is for us. Now, i see that this is probably just not for me. I realize i am spoiled to the point of rotten. At 1st, when we got the jeep home, i was so thrilled with the condition and that my search was over. We marvelled at the dash with it’s chrome bezels, bright indicators, and even what i think may be actual glass lenses. The nearly end less array of knobs and switches appealed to the ’70’s era 6-year-old in me. It’s just so so so cool. It wasn’t quite what i’d expected. It’d been years since i’d really driven one before. There’s been cadillacs and mercedes benz in the meantime. Somewhere along the way, i got soft i guess. The joy of driving the jeep was shortlived, and soon wore away. And by soon, i mean within days. No problem, i thought. I figured we’d squirrel the jeep away somewhere. We collect vintage cars anyway. Haggerty collector guide ranks these at the near-top of their list as excellent investment, with skyrocketing values. Idea was i’d tuck it away in a corner. Maybe one day it'd be worth what we'd paid. Finding room was no problem; after all, it’s quite little. Diary of a madman:as mentioned, i parked the jeep. The when negotiating walking away from it, around the front corner, i hit the front bumper, got twisted, and suffered a leg injury. I won’t get into details…. It’s a stupid mishap and injury. Shouldn’t have happened. As i lay there, my wife came out. I calmly asked for the first aid kit and we tried to set part of my leg back in. As i type this, i’m sitting comfortably at my desk, my leg set on a chair, and my mind set on an unreserved sale. To play safe, please budget for at least that amount. The only extra cost is a $120-150 customs brokerage fee. I’m happy to answer any inquiries, so feel free to write. As well, we invite anyone wishing to see in person and will happily accommodate. Then, my wife sends the banking transfer information. We deviated twice, and been defrauded twice. Each and every one is for a 30-60 year old car or truck. Everyone is overjoyed. Air Conditioning
